The real deciding factor will be the thickness of your floor.
up to 10K you will need 4" concrete
12K you will need 6" concrete.
If you buy a lift that is ALI certified it is tested at 3X load rating, so a 10K lift will be fine if you floor is not thick enough for a 12K.
Get an unfinished,preferably unused:p wooden toilet seat and practice on that.
They're cheap ($10 or so) and the shape of the lid closely resembles a guitar so you will get use to painting curved surfaces and you will see what the paint will look like when finished .

I went to start my snow blower after Nemo and it wouldnt fire.
Popped out the spark plug and it was flodded... checked for spark and had none????
My next step was to check to stator and wiring for any obvious issues.
So I remove the shrouds and heat shields, remove the gas...

If they are for "weekend" use I just cant see spending that much.

This was the first tool someone recomended to me when I got out of tech school in '88.
Fast foward 2+ decades SO now has extentions the are regular straight extentions and a wobble combined in one.
Press the socket all the way on...conventional...
I really like my Makita 18v li-ion tools.... BUT...........
Their batteries are TERRIBLE....When they work they are great, but they were overengineered for safety and once the charger detects a fault 3 times the battey is disabled and can never be charged ...
