    Garage Heater Question

I installed a 125000 BTU Modine in my shop. The unit was $900 and I spent around $300 on parts to hook it up. The propane supplier made the gas connection and checked for leaks as well as started it up and made adjustments.

2000 SF and not insulated very well. Heater still keeps it at 70 when it's 30 outside with no problem.

    125000 BTU Modine Heater Install

Just wanted to share my new install with the group. My trusses would not support the weight of the heater. So I had to be creative and transfer the weight to the floor. Although this did take up some floor space it may be a good option if you have a similar problem.

Truss Mounting a 125000 btu Modine Heater

Hello, I have purchased a Hot Dawg heater for my shop. The unit weight is 125# and now I'm wondering if I should put that much weight on the bottom cord of my trusses. The trusses are 40'-0" and all 2 x 4 construction. I could incorporate two trusses in the support and hang the heater in the...
