    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

    - The box and question about placement is more about considering drafts in the room. Warping is from the temperature differentials between nozzle, part, bed and air. - You have to purge a ton to get rid of PLA to switch to PETG during support and layer changes. Not recommended to mix the two in...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

The warping is a cooling issue or bed adhesion; some of those larger TMT parts might pull the bed corners up but this isn't one of those parts. An enclosure would help but it could also be fan settings. I would recommend dropping the PLA support when printing PETG for these TMT parts unless you...

Wipe some glue stick on then rub it in like wax with a damp paper towel. You end up with a nice even coat and no excess buildup in a particular area.

At current prices I would go with X2D, the extras you get for $100/150 over a P2S are worth it. This coming from someone with two P2S. I bought the 2nd during the last sale when the extra $50 off ($700 for the P2S) between the 2 models was worth it, plus availability for the X2D was limited to...

    3D Filament Deal Thread

Quite a bit of filament on sale at Amazon Haul, 50-70% off, plus there was a bonus 10% above $75 for the cart. I got a bunch of PETG, single spool colors available so you can mix and match. Ended up at about $5.70/kg before tax.

Instead of using consumer dryers for commercial drying, could you just get a large lab convection oven? They can hold 40-65C just fine and will stay on till you quit paying your power bill. While there aren't a ton of used ones, they usually go pretty cheap or people end up scrapping them

3d Printing Offshoot Thread: WHEELCHAIRS FOR TODDLERS

I am using just 1 P2S, 0.4mm nozzle and 3 walls on everything. At about 3.5wks with just one plate of TPU to go.

First TPU prints seemed to go well enough, knock on wood. Made up some feet for my Engel cooler. Textured build plate for extra stiction along with the reliefs.

I would think more about overhang combined with larger layer height and flow, so less cooling per layer for given speed. Might also check that it didn't get switched to outer walls first.

Turned out great. Just curious, what were the updates to push you to 380hrs instead the 200-250hr noted? Might try and get in on this but I haven't tried TPU yet and just have one printer (P2S).
