I picked up a vintage kennedy toolchest today. Not sure if I over paid for it, but it's a nice box. I paid 500 and it's in really good shape. Probably from the late 80's. Style number 52611-938588 is the top box. What do you think?

That's awesome! I have my late father's 403.5 with the swivel jaw but the pin is stuck. I'm in the process of reconditioning the vise.

Yes, the jaws are completely closed. They are lined up pretty well. Thanks for the advice, that was my line of thinking also. I'm working on getting a 2in pin so I can knock it out. I'm going to keep feeding it kroil for another week then heat it up and hit it with a pin. Ill keep you posted...

I have a rock island 573 and it looks very similar to that. I'll post some pics when I can find them. The jaws look the same to me.

Ok, I'll put it back into the evaporust for a week or so. I've just read horror stories about getting these vises apart. If I ever get it apart, it'll be a nice vise again.

I have a wilton cadet that the moveable jaw is stuck inside the body. I have soaked it in evaporust overnight and still nothing. Anybody have any ideas on how to get it apart? What is your thought about drill a small through the base making so I can put some lube in the bore? This thing is stuck!!!
