Tools that you thought were a good idea at that time but really serve no purpose

I love my 1/2" speeder when I'm working on my 8 lug truck and I don't have an impact handy to zip the lug nuts off after breaking them loose. Pretty much the only time I use it though. Most useless tools I own are those aforementioned ratcheting open end wrenches. If they didn't have the...

Old welder, valve machine, worth it?

So, I work for a heavy equipment dealer as a warranty admin. Long story short we have a new manager and he's cleaning house. In the metal dumpster today are some old welders and a valve machine. My question to you guys is, are these worth anything? The Lincoln welder is huge, size of an old...

    block of aluminum

Use it to defrost frozen slabs of meat. Or draw a face on it, hang it on the wall, and if someone asks just explain, "That's my girlfriend, Ally, she likes to hang around the shop."

    40x56x12 Indiana barn build

Looks like its gonna be a nice shop! Good size, and cool colours. Are you going to have a lift? I also like that you built the garage before the house. You know the priorities.

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

I read through the thread yesterday and just had to post, very impressive work! You have a good bit of talent and skill, but most of all a very serious determination to do it and do it right! Rest and heal correctly the first time, by all means, its easier in the long run rather than trying to...
