I'm going to wire 240 volt 30 amp double pole switch to a garage heater 240 volt 30 amp as well, need to know how to wire this switch.I have 240 volt 10-2 with ground going to the switch, do I hook these 2 wires to the black terminals and then run the 10-2 wire from the heater to the top lugs...

Charles you are correct this stove is a 50 amp double pole breaker.So you say just lower the breaker to double 30 amp and junction the 10-2 wire to the existing wire for the stove to the new heater in the garage.Is there any thing or more I should know like type of wire nuts type of junction box...

the reason for the wall thermostat is that the heater is ceiling mounted and is way to high to reach the thermostat that is mounted on the unit.This is the reason for that also the switch I do plan to install just needed help with the wiring of the new wall stat..
