I have Ryobi batteries already, and they're smaller and lighter. I've a suspicion that my charger might take up to 18v anyway, in which case there'll be no conversion losses. I'll have to check that! Thanks for your help

Did the 9v battery as a kid (didn't we all?) So it seemed a natural progression to try it with the 7.2v batteries we used for RC car racing, and that was a properly painful experience! As they say, it's not the volts that get you...

I only have one MIP driver, and it's a speedbit type one, so no problem with smell!

A question on the MIP? They're thought of very highly in the RC car world, how do they measure up in your experience against more mainstream makes? Thanks in advance
