Great looking ladder Gregor. As someone just starting their mig welding journey, those aluminium welds look amazing. I can see at some point in the future I'll want a Tig setup just to play with welding aluminium.
Gregor that video is wonderful. I think we all remember that first moment in our lives and it never gets old and never goes away. Man are you going to have some (more) amazing adventures with your kids.
Was very happy when your first vid appeared on my feed. I tend to watch half an hour of YouTube on the tv at the end of the evening, it’s more interesting that most things on Netflix and it helps me learn for the projects I currently have going on. I must say that for a first video your...
Yeah, this is pretty much spot on. I'm on a shoot for a big Netflix series at the moment and we shoot everything at 24fps unless there's a specific reason not to. Sometimes we'll shoot a shot at 48 or 96fps purely because the director wants to make a small segment of it slow motion, say a close...
If that's your 'filled with mistakes' first production, man I can't wait until you have it at a level you think is reasonably proficient. Most everyone else would is aiming for what you think is full of mistakes. That goes for most things you seem to do :D
Strange that the pics wouldn't show, they're fine in both chrome and safari for me. I've removed the extra s so hopefully they'll show now, thanks for the advice on that. I've not had that issue before, which is a bit odd.
Anyway, hopefully they'll show up now.
Can't wait to see what you come up with in giving your dad's bike a new life. Does this mean that you're planning on bike building to be your full time occupation? Will you still do photography work occasionally?
Good luck with it all, really looking forward to following along with your new...
3 years ago I bought a welder with the intention of learning to weld. It sat in the barn unused until recently because, well, life got in the way. I did a short beginner's welding evening class in the autumn and, after the little steel dice I posted recently, this is the first proper project...
Saw the photos of the bike at the show, I love that you left it muddy, not perfectly polished, it's rare to see show bikes that look like they're actually used for their intended purpose :)
What a fabulous build. I was following on instagram this morning as you made the dash and cackled when you went to fit it and said 'f*******ck'. Isn't that always the way.
Oh and sign me up as another YT follower. I've learned so much following this thread over the years and bought tools...
Happy new year Gregor, to you and the family. Great to see the van being used they way you designed it to be. What a fabulous set of adventures your kids are having growing up. Long may it continue.
