Is there a particular reason for using ER70S-7 over dash 6? Easier to grind down? Stronger?

Update:New handle, switch, and plug assembly is on order, I will be using the welder to do some of the sheetmetal on my truck build and report back.

How did you get this shape? On this picture it looks like you are more to one side. You didn't make it by having the two wheels dead center of the piece? Or did you roll it with them more to once side til the other angle is more perpendicular to the wheels and the other half of the piece...

Lenco 480 Volt Mark II Spot Welder for sale as is. Decent shape, a few wear and tear scratches here and there but still in good shape. Broken piece on the handle but still usable. Don't have access to a 480 volt outlet so don't know at the moment if it works but plan on getting it checked out...

A hand held hammer. The last piece is the barrel that each piece commects to and that barrell piece goes ona wooden handle.

I was gonna PM you but I think this will add to the post. Looking at buying some body hammers and since you are very experienced and know your stuff I wanted to get your opinion real quick on these type with the interchangeable heads.

Doing a search on this and haven't found much. Gonna start a thread but why are you so against sand besides it having silica in it? I always use a respirator no matter what kind of media I'm using but I have a pallet of sand I need to use up.

Yeah, no rust conversion, well unless you count molasses as one. Just wondering what is the best way to keep the natural metal look without having to worry so much about premature rust. Would like to keep this natural look instead of painting black or some kind of other "metal like" color.

It is dry here, got the car from Texas where it's a little more humid but I believe it wasn't the original location. The rust is not horrible but some locations are bad, common Camaro rust spots, enough to keep me busy for a while. I'll be starting a restoration thread soon and will post some...
