I started some flooring on the second floor. I grabbed some Everlife LVT vinyl laminate. I've never installed it before but did some homework and it seems like so far so good. Hoping to get it finished today or tomorrow to start trimming it out.

I'm with you on that. I contracted out the drywall/mudding/sanding. I've done high ceilings before - never again.

Most of the sanding is done, almost ready to start painting.

One thing I was toying with is scanning the space with a 360 degree camera. I did a before scan just as a supplementary means of remembering where things are in the walls. I plan to do a more detailed scan once painting is done. 3D Garage Scan

A few more updates: Insulation and drywall are finishing up this week. I'm hoping to have all the finishing work done by sometime next week so paint can start. On a side note - I think I figured out the issue with images not showing up (imgur...boy your quirks are fun).

I did this for the detached garage I am about to finish - upgraded service to house to 400A. New meter base, 200A panel in house, 200A disconnect feeding 200A panel in garage. I can post a pic of what it looks like if that helps.

Finished the second unit for the second floor, just need to get some more pipe insulation and clean up the drain hoses. Tested both last night, everything seems to be working fine. Going to setup the Wi-Fi control today and see how well that works.

Where are you located (someone may be able to provide local assistance)? Check out design spark mechanical (free) - excellent (and easy) software for designing parts quickly (direct export to .stl). There is certainly a learning curve, but I wouldn't say the printer is useless w/o 3D modeling...
