    Black & Decker Workmate

Found items at the local thrift store this past month. Brand new grip mates, never thought I would find a set locally. Also a new in the box “shopbox”. Gave that one to my mom. She loves it, it’s like a big pocketknife she says. It’s in her SUV’s trunk area holding her straps, duct tape and...

Your type E should have 2 usable heights. Mine has a slightly lower height that locks and puts it just about 1/8-1/4” higher than my type2.

It sure is, couldn’t pass on it. I have a fairly well abused 300 over at my folks place that I may be able to rob the crank from.

Found a fairly decent H-frame here locally on marketplace, $20. Plywood tops are in great shape. Gonna have to source a new handle, left crank is a Mickey Mouse deal.

Agreed, dual purpose. Damage guard and also helps keep dust/chips out of the threads. You can see the accumulation of dust in my pics, that would otherwise clog the threads. BTW, just waned you to know your resource page is a great read, thanks for compiling the info for us.

Some differences between my type E and my type 2. The screw has a dust shield built into the nut on the type E. Not there on the type 2. Also the type E has gradations, I’m guessing centimeters. The latches on the type 2 only allow for one height, 31”. The type E seems to have two heights...

    Wilton Vise

Its a wilton 9-600 machinist's vise. Opens to 9", with 6" jaws. Made around the late 60's. Remove the entire dynamic jaw and you should see a date stamped into the bottom of the round slide/barrel. Weighs about 160lbs if memory serves. Price will vary by condition and mostly location, but any...

I think I can blame Tim Allen for a lot of my adult shenanigans, I especially loved the man bathroom with like 18 shower heads lol (a future project of mine haha) Lis2323, thats a great looking sturdy setup. One year older than myself, and in better shape too lol. Thanks for sharing the idea.
