Drivesitfar - I have sold a lot of stuff over the yrs on CL and have met some great people, but in the last yr I've noticed a change here in the responders. It could be the economy of the area as of now, but have seen a lot of spammers and scammers, you have to really look at the replys, some of...
Yes I know what mean about CL users, I used to put in a price that is what I wanted for it but they would offer a third or half of my price so now I have to list it for more than I wanted.
It's got 3 drawers that I used for nails for air tools, and extra sanding belts, small tools etc. it does...
Do you guys remember seeing these cabinets back in the late 1960's - 1970's era? I've had this one for a long time, and these units will hold quite a bit of weight and have full extension drawers.
I found one on eBay some yrs ago and he was asking a silly price of around $300, that's way too...
And the reason I have to sell some tools is that dad passed away 7 yrs ago and my mom just passed suddenly a short time ago, I thought I had time to go thru all the tools and such and try to find room at my place to put them. She was very healthy I thought, always busy and never sick, so I...
I will try to get more pics in the future, the box has all kinds of stuff packed around it right now, that's the reason for those other pics not showing much of it.
That's what I should do, create a thread of the tools that I'm not sure of their purpose. He, along with all you guys was an avid...
I was thinking the same thing, that it could have been a home made box but the outer metal case of the tool box has rolled radius corners. Something that would have to be made by the manufacturer I would imagine. And thanks for the tip on the lube on the drawer slides. My dad was a millwright...
Could someone tell me why when posting pics, that sometimes they are shown with my reply, and other times they are shown as a link that you need to click on to see them? As in my previous reply, they don't show the pics, you have to click yon them
Misterbill, I have got something you need to go with your collection of Wright wrenches. It's a Hartzell wood propeller, it has Wright Aviation engines stamped into the center hub. It's about 10' long with the original finish on it, it was my grandfathers that he had boxed up in the garage loft...
I looked all over this box and could not find a manufacturer name on it. It has no roller glides on the drawers, just brackets to slide on. The drawers are 24" deep and loaded with some heavy tools but they still slide easily loaded. It's 40" W x 24"D x 48" T
Whoops I should read all the replies to the thread before asking questions :). You did a helluva nice job, this obviously is not the first one you have restored
Drivesitfar- I looked for a manufacturer of the box and couldn't find anything. I checked the drawer faces and inside them hoping to find something, nothing
I got this one also, it has a few drawers in it ! 😀 I'm not sure if I can keep this one in my garage tho, it takes up a lot of space. I would hate to sell it, something like this one is hard to find
