I am started to lean towards adapter now.. as there are unanswered questions on GFCI outlet.

I just checked freeze gfci and I found out it is on a separate circuit. I was not able to locate any other gfci outlet in the garage.

Yes there is one GFCI in the corner for the freeze connection.

an outlet behind shelve does not look like GFCI as well.

It looks like I have 15 amp circuit. I just tested it. Can't tell if it is GFCI or not. To me it looks it is not.

Thanks Git. Can you please tell me what do you mean by change current receptacle and standard duplex? How to choose receptacle? And is it allowed to change? little confusion here. I am leaning toward the second option to add an adapter but I am not sure which one would be a safe choice.

Sorry for the delay message. I have attached garage and I live in NJ. I am pretty sure this is a separate circuit. If extension cord is an option, which one should I buy? If not, then I was thinking to extend from outlet next to it using conduit and use GFCI? Here's another picture.
