    Zero turn head scratcher

I do tend to fill the tanks to the tippy top. I'll take that into consideration when fueling up. The actual vents are clear, but I'll need to check the lines.

    Zero turn head scratcher

I've removed both of the vents at the top of each fuel tank. I was able to blow through them, so the vents are clear. I'll need to check the lines. I've run both of the tanks empty this past season, and there is no visible debris in the tanks.

    Zero turn head scratcher

Gravely 460 Model: 992233 Zero Turn with a Kohler ECV749 EFI engine. The mower is stored in an enclosed trailer. Used 1-2 times per week for 7-8 hours total. I've been having an issue where I open the trailer after 5-6 days to start the mower on the first lawn on my route, and get a strong...

What type of coating am I looking at here?

I did some surface digging. It looks like chromate is a significant carcinogen. I'll most likely send out a bunch to a local metal finisher.

What type of coating am I looking at here?

I knew I asked in the right place. I'll watch the video and then determine if it's something that I'm up for without potentially burning the place down or injuring myself in the process :p.

What type of coating am I looking at here?

I'm knee deep into a restoration of a VW MK2 and a bunch of the original steel hardware (bolts and brackets) in the engine bay have a gold finish. It is not painted, but looks plated. Any ideas what type of coating this is and any links to directions on how to replicate it? I'd prefer to...

    Best String Trimmer Head

We run Shindaiwa speed feed heads on all of our string trimmers. Durable, hold a ton of line, and easy to re-spool. Speed is the name of the game with all of the properties and they've performed better than the Echo heads.

Echo ES250 runs, then POPs and dies

I run all 2 stroke echo equipment for handheld equipment. If you've verified the components of the carb are ok and functioning properly, fuel lines/filter is next on the list. There is also a small vent line that should have a check valve on it. If that all checks out, look at the muffler and...

YesWelder Sale. AC Tig under $560 & Plasma Cutter $290

It's still in the box! This is my busy time of year with work, so hopefully by the end of July I'll be able to set it up and complete some test cuts on a variety of scraps I have in the shop.

YesWelder Sale. AC Tig under $560 & Plasma Cutter $290

Hmm, I didn’t look at Amazon reviews. I typically watch YouTube videos of a product in action and then make a decision. For this price I’m willing to take chance even if the Amazon reviews are mixed. I’m only going to use it a few times a year, so hopefully it performs well with light use.

YesWelder Sale. AC Tig under $560 & Plasma Cutter $290

I'm not a welder by trade, and only use my MIG sparingly for repairs to vehicles and items that need fixing around the house or outdoor equipment. I don't own a spool gun, so I've had to pay for stainless and aluminum welding exhaust systems in the past. Since I'm frugal at heart, I've been...
