    Drywall lift experience?

I got one from Amazon with a 10' or so max lift. It worked extremely well for the ceiling of my garage which is at 10'. Couldn't have done by myself w/o the lift. With the lift it was Eazy Peezy. Then sold the lift locally for more than i paid for it. win win

Anyone have a 4 post lift in cold climate area....

I think most home-owner quality lifts require and indoor installation--or voids the warranty...if that matters to you. Cold oil pumps very slowly.

    C-4 transmission holding fixture

OK, thanks....I am surprised I can't just "attach" the file like an email, or many other sites Neither am I very tech-savvy, but what you posted would be like the "wah, wha, wah" in a Peanuts cartoon whenever an adult was speaking... It is surprising I can manage to find my way to work, and...

    C-4 transmission holding fixture

The Factory Holding fixture used only 2 bolt holes. I scanned the FSM, but can't find a way to attach the .pdf file.

    Stairs to loft

I hinged the stairs and use a HF winch to raise and lower them. When raised, there are "J" bolts that hang down from the trusses to secure the stairs. I do not want a failure in the HF winch or cable to hit me on the head---that would probably be lethal.

    SUBGRADE Question

Here is a suggestion---use the rock until about 3"-4" below the bottom of your slab, then a heavy vapor barrier, then a couple of inches of sand. The place your concrete. Why?you ask--all the extra work. Well, it may be overkill for a garage, but concrete curls as it curls. Even if you...

    Another for question

I think the suspensions are totally different, but its easy to find out....Go to any car parts vendor's website. ( I like Rockauto). Look up the parts for both 2WD and 4WD configurations. If the part numbers match, they are the same.

    Project 66 Rustang

Nice looking thread--great work! I would disagree with the statement that they were "built to rust". No one would do that, but they weren't built NOT to rust. They were designed and then built to be put together as rapidly as possible. There was GREAT demand for these when they were new. I...

    Hinges for glass?

The glass is the rear from the original convertible top. The previous owner put a large "Mustang"/ running horse decal on it. I think the decal adds interest. My son builds, and collects "War Hammer" models/ miniatures. On another thought---what sources do you use for Fox-body used-but still...

    Hinges for glass?

I am leaning toward this right now... Just saw on old episode of fathom works where Dan Short drilled a windshield from a Morgan. Unknown to him, someone had replaced the original windshield with tempered glass. He drilled it, and it shattered into about a million pieces over 60 feet of his...

    Hinges for glass?

Thanks all---I need to consider what you have posted. I probably need to resolve this issue first--no sense in building the display case only to shatter the glass.....

    Hinges for glass?

I have an idea for a Christmas gift...a display case made from the rear glass out of my son's Mustang GT. We put on a new top, so the glass from the original top is just sitting around. I think a wall-mounted display case for his miniatures would be a great gift for him. Main question as...
