I have 2x6 framing on my garage door wall my garage door header is a triple lvl.
2x6 = 5.5"
triple lvl @ 1.75" = 5.25"
I have a requirement to for a header to jack stud strap like simpson MSTC28 so the surfaces must be flush.
Can I use a wood shim to flush them up?
Thanks,
Mike
