Is this Craftsman plastic toolbox actually a tacklebox?

I had a single tray craftsman version of this tool box. I used it to haul a small softlight and an assortment of small grip and rigging equipment. It was very handy for hauling and also as occasional step stool. It perished in the Altadena fire. Are they still available today?

    Wiper Arm Pullers?

I have the glass technologies one pictured. It worked well on a 325i.

    Jumper cable/Charger clamps

When I was part owner in a movie equipment rental house, our 4/0 feeder cable was welding cable. When the electrical code changed we were mandated to change to "entertainment cable". I have a dandy set of jumper cables with big Mueller alligator clamps.

How come common metric sets only go to 19mm but common sae sets run to 1” which would be 25mm?

I have that stahlwille set and love it, but i had to add 21mm for the dellorto phm float bowl nuts on my bike. I'm not sure the German mechanics have a use for 21mm.

    Gerstner Leatherette Restoration

BITD leatherette Gerstners were popular with makeup artists. The heavy guns were in the trailer, but a Gerstner case like this one was light enough to carry to the set for last minute touch-ups. The finish and handle on top remind me of my Mom's classic Singer portable.

    Gerstner Leatherette Restoration

Take a look at the "Levant" covering as used on the Marshall amps. It has a smoother pattern than some of the fender tolexes and, I think it's available in a nice green. Check out guitar amp suppliers in your country. If you have a choice go with the thinnest version of the material you can...

New set of Allen Keys needed

I'm with Ronin on this. I have a set of SK USA ballend sockets I never use. I like euro hand tools but I see no need to buy anything other than Ekland or Bondhus for L keys.

    Pimping my shop vac

How effective is the muffler? I've been tempted but it is kind of expensive for what it is.

Line wrench or Box-end for brake bleeder fittings?

I get that you have to use a line wrench or flare nut wrench for tightening a union on a hard line. I'll use an open end to hold the union stationary and a flare nut on the actual fitting, but..... I can't think of any reason to necessarily use a flare nut wrench on the actual bleeder fitting...

How did Snap On become the standard?

Good point here. I have a set of Klein screwdrivers that get a lot of use on "honey do" projects around the house, often electrical. I don't use them on vehicles cause I don't like cleaning grease off the soft handles. I have a nice set of Felo's for that. I needed a set of SAE combo wrenches...

How did Snap On become the standard?

I'd say that beyond the tool truck finance game, SnapOn is the standard (at least in US) because they make the best tools. I'm a hobby guy and a literal shade tree mechanic and I realize, it's overkill for most people. I started out in the '60's and 70's with US Craftsman sockets and wrenches as...

    Oatey Yellow Teflon Tape

When I used to shoot training videos in Atlanta for the Coca-Cola post-mix (soda machines like you see in fast food joints where the syrup is mixed with carbonated water at the dispenser nozzle) department, the head tech told me teflon tape was only there to lubricate the threads, not seal a...

Cordless Stick Vacuum for Garage Cleaning

I bought a makita because I was already on the lxt battery system. It has extension wands that's good for dust bunnies and floor stuff but I use it mostly as a Super Dust Bunny for picking up scarf and wood shavings.

    need platform truck advice

I'm a keyboard player that needs to move two keyboards (in cases) roughly 15x48" each vertically, a folding bench, trapezoid shaped speaker, folding music stand, and a couple of cases of cables and accessories. Sometimes the load-ins are a long haul, so I can save a lot of effort if I can make...
