My Man Cave - Laminate flooring in my garage

Got it. Cool. The bevel looks like it will work fine. I do like the finished look of a transition strip though. Thank you for the ideas.

My Man Cave - Laminate flooring in my garage

How did you handle the termination of the laminate flooring at the garage door lip? I am thinking about going this route as well.

Breaker on but no power to switch

Shame on me for not thinking of this. The 60 amp breaker runs a sub panel with a bunch of 15 amp breakers in there. One of those was tripped. Bingo, new switches work now.

Breaker on but no power to switch

Re: Break on but power to switch I just checked 2 other light switches that are on the same breaker, they do not work. I checked an outlet on the same breaker it does work. On to testing the breaker now, it is a 2 pole 60amp. Tested the breaker I got 120v on both poles. Now I am really stumped.

Breaker on but no power to switch

Hi guys, I need some help. I replaced a set of Lutron Maestro dimmers with a new set of decora dimmers. This is a 3 way light. I had the new switches working great, tested all ok. Turned the power on, went to screw the switches back in the box and the hot terminal on one of the switches hit...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

oldldh, I have two of those. They are pretty neat. I am pretty sure they are called universal turret vises. I think $325 is a bit steep, but who knows nowadays with a Wilton stamp on it. Heck I would take $350 for both of mine.

Holes in asphalt driveway at the garage apron, recommendations

Gentlemen, thanks for the ideas. There is a roof edge with a gutter that runs down the left side of the roof and underground from there. I never really noticed any water issues there. Probably because its all going into the holes. LOL. I thought about using the ground drains and hook it...

Holes in asphalt driveway at the garage apron, recommendations

Hello folks, looking for suggestions on the correct way to fix these holes in front of each of the garage bays. I won't know what the cause is until I get into it, but the holes are where the traffic is, so I am guessing just heavy use and wear and tear. There doesn't seem to be a water issue...

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

i clamp mine upside down in the center of the black and decker workbench. works like a bench mounted belt sander. i use 80 grit which gives a nice machined look to it. i use it on the anvil, jaw inserts and sides of the jaws. recently completed C2 pictured for reference.

    The vise mothership!

The second i saw the title i knew where this was going. i have spoken to him a few times, he is about 45 minutes from me. definitely no "you ****" prices in his fleet. the first picture with the "inventory in racking" is not of his current shop, can't speak about anything in the past, but all...
