Instead of a door, put up a quilt or blanket to block the air movement. We did that in our house to keep the heat downstairs instead of going up the stairs to a spare room above the garage. Now the upstairs stays around 40 degrees while downstairs it is 66 degrees. you can then remove it...

Hi, Thanks for letting me on to this forum. I currently have a 24x27 detached and and working with a builder to add 40 feet. It will include a 1/2 bath, storage area( for mower, tiller and garden stuff) and 2 bays 1 will have a lift. I am always looking for good ideas to make this space work...
