A workshop that works...The Shade Tree Jeep shop.

I was reminded of this thread today... Mostly because I finally finished the in-floor heating system I put into this Shop. It has been running for a little more than 24 hours and I'm amazed at how nice It is in there. For those that don't like YouTube links. I found a boiler on Facebook and...

    Drying Air Compressor talk

Unfortunately I can’t answer your questions. But I can show you what I did. In the YouTube video linked below I installed my compressor in the shed. And ran an underground pipe to the shop and the. Installed a separator. Then after the separator I put an Eastwood filter drier that I can add a...

Yeah I over did it a lot. I agree I don’t like things sitting out in the elements. Plus it hides it from prying eyes and makes it quieter for neighbors. The copper water separator thing feels like way over kill to me too. But in my garage up front with a smaller compressor in the basement I...

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. Mostly just working on busted cars and random repairs... But I finally buckled down and made the shop air thing happen Let me know what you think. https://youtu.be/cVa4CgO3Dkk I’d love to hear what y’all think of the setup.

    Sheetrockers vs plywood

Yeah I don’t know that I would have even considered it. My workshop has tin. And my garage is half stucco and half plywood because the builders did half of it back when it was built. And I added the plywood.

Thanks for checking it out! I sit in a cubicle 40+ hours a week and stare at white walls and white ceilings... I’d rather not have walls than have white in my workshop. [emoji23] But in all practicality the galvanized finish was one of the more cost effective ones. The place I get my tin from...

Cool! Updates are certainly more timely on there but there’s also a glimpse into the randomness of my life too [emoji23] Lol

Last of the Tin is finally up. Now comes the hard part of finishing trim and punch list things before I lose focus and just move into it. [emoji23] Though I am pretty well moved in I still have some tools in the house.

    Beads in your tire

Yeah, like I said, I’ve heard it, but never seen it. I agree with your analysis, it is my suspicion be the user ran their tires under inflated or flat. Let’s be honest. Why would someone be looking at the interior of their own tire unless they have a failure or their own tire machine. [emoji2369]

    Beads in your tire

I’ve heard of guys using steel BB’s that ate or chewed the tire, but I’ve never seen it for myself.

    Beads in your tire

I just doubled the weight of typical wheel weights in beads. For example if I took 8oz of weights off I put 16 inside. I don’t know if that’s proper. But it worked for my Jeep.

Steady as she goes. Start them early Plywall was challenging. I had the electric put in before I knew for sure what I was going to do for interior. So I end up with a small section that is plywood. But that’s ok, seems like a good place to mount wall mounted things...

    Beads in your tire

I keep meaning to put them in my 1ton to try them, every time I have had a shop “balance” the wheels the wheel weights contact the brake caliper and no one seems to notice or care. :ditto: I’ve been running them in my Jeep for 7-8years. Airsoft black The only issue I have is if I hit a...
