    Flooring Install

I used Festool for cutting my RaceDeck tiles. I happen to be a big fan of Festool, but warning, they are a bit pricey. I used the TS55 track saw and the PG300 jig saw, plus a guide rail and vacuum attached to take care of 90% of the dust. It's very easy to cut a number of tiles at once with the...

    Racedeck flooring

It's pretty straight forward, measure your garage floor, design a pattern (there is a cool tool for that on www.racedeck.com), order the tiles and when they arrive lay them out. They snap to each other and float on the existing floor, no need to glue them. I laid my floor in about a day. The...

    Racedeck flooring

Probably between $2,000 and $2,500. Contact the manufacturer, Snaplock Industries, the owner has posts on this forum. There is a nice discount for members of this forum.

    Racedeck flooring

The wall cabinets all came from Ikea, they are basically their kitchen cabinet line. Plenty of choices for the finishes-- unfortunately the high gloss deep red they don't carry anymore. The metal tool chests are Husky, from the Home Depot.

Filling the expansion joints in garage

Thanks for the advice, I will give that a try. I also have to deal with one of the slabs that is about 3/8 of an inch higher along the center joint. I'm going to have to remove quite a bit of concrete to make it level. I am planning on renting an EDCO TG-10 for $200 a day, it can remove 1/16"...

Filling the expansion joints in garage

I'm looking to do the same, but in my garage the expansion joints are made out of 2x4's redwood. The wood is original (must be 60 years old) and mostly intact, but must have shrunk a bit--there is at least a 1/2" gap from the concrete surface. I want to install racedeck tiles but don't want to...
