    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Hard to forget Jake. That was one of my favourite sub-plots of this whole saga. Can’t wait to hear your recount of Danny and Challenger II. Legendary stuff. -Mike Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Winching inop cars into a garage

I had the same situation...used a Hilti to drill two anchors into the floor and a 2000lb ATV winch...It was only fastened to the floor by the two anchors...3/8" I believe. Pulled my truck in and out several times with no issues.

    My Old Service Station/House

Thanks everyone for all the kind words...there will definitely be more pictures as time goes by. Unfortunately I don't have the time or resources to refurbish this place as quickly as it seems some other folks do things around here....so it'll be a longer proces, but a process none the less. I'm...

    My Old Service Station/House

Good evening folks; I had another thread going and people were starting to ask....so I figured I'd start this one to talk about my shop/house....yep, I live here. 1900 square feet of shop, 1700 square feet of house. I pretty much cried when I signed the papers to buy it. I've always wanted to...

Did some detective work....it's a Rotary-Weaver. Disassembled with a minimum of fuss...at some point in history someone adapted a superstructure off of possibly a Ford-Smith (based on the bolt pattern). The inside of the cylinder/outside of the piston show nothing more than surface rust...

When they stopped using the lift I don't believe rendering it inoperable was the plan...just get as much out of the way as possible. Probably sold the rack for scrap. I thought it looked a little like a Globe too....based on what info I can find at the parts place. They may even have the rack...

Hi again all! Resurrecting this old thread. I've finally completed the purchase of this property and was able to get <gasp> pictures of this hoist. The six mounting points for the rack have been torched off....I don't know if they were studs or threaded holes or what...I can find no...

I'm sure they are too. This process just kicked off yesterday so I'm asking here, there...so far the day job hasn't allowed me to get out to the museum to bug them yet... trying to soak up as much info as I can from wherever I can...

Good morning all! I'm at the very beginning of this process, so my information is limited; however from what I can tell through searches it might be unique enough to drum up some responses. I'm looking at purchasing an old service station that was initially built in 1909 and expanded several...
