What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I spent a carrier designing, engineering, and building very specialized machinery for processing in the automotive industry. I actually built an 80 foot long 12ft tall x 12 ft wide pick-and-place robot using servos and CNC controller software. The thing was basically an overhead bridge crane...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Wow.. base price of $7300.. Nice machine, but at that price it's not tenable unless I try to go into business with it. I have a Hypertherm PowerMax 1000 I use almost daily.. but it could do so much more hooked up to a CNC.. Once the property is done, I might just build my own...

    Wood Stove: How many cords?

I didn't read the whole thread so if someone has already posted this, just ignore. Wood contains about 8000 btu's per pound.. a bit more if it has a lot of resin in it like pine. The 8000 btu number assumes zero moisture. The more water in the wood, the less energy you'll get out of...

    Help with Steel Barn Siding

Thank you! I guess if a window or door happens to end up in a bad place, there's no getting around having something custom made, but at least I can take care of the corners..

    Help with Steel Barn Siding

Hi folks, I have a question about putting up steel siding on my barn. I'm going to be using the standard 3 rib panels, and the question I have relates to the ribs and how they line up with corners on the barn. After all the steel siding is up, I'm going to need to install corner trims...
