Boat and trailer on a car lift?

I haven't spring for the 4 post lift yet but when I added the third bay on my garage I used vaulted ceiling trusses with the plan to add a 4 post lift and store my 19ft boat on the lift in the winter months..

Need help with attic access ideas????

My garage has a finished sloped ceiling that is about 14' high in the center with some storage above. At the time I couldn't find an attic stairway that would go high enough so I framed in a 2'x4' access hole between the trusses, I then made an access panel and attached one end with hinges. I...

    snowblower drip pan

Not sure why I didn't find this on my first search but this 36" x 36" mat is made by Ariens specifically for snowblowers. They say it will hold two quarts of water, it should keep the mess contained and prevent rust spots on the floor. http://www.snowblowersdirect.com/images.php?products_id=2292

    snowblower drip pan

Thanks for all the great ideas. I hope to get to Lowe's today and see what they have to go under washing machines. Do I park vehicles my garage? Lets see, in my garage I have a 2007 Accord. Chevy Avalanche, Honda S2000, my 19ft SeaRay boat, my Harley and now my snowblower ( only in the winter...

I knew you guys would have some great ideas! That Polyethylene Drip Pan from McMaster is what I had in mind but it's not quite large enough. It needs to be about 36x36.

    snowblower drip pan

OK, so I have lived in the northeast all my live without a snowblower but with my new 50 x 60 driveway I finally broke down and bought a snowblower just in time to clear 8 inches off the drive yesterday. Now I need a way to keep the snowblower from dripping all over my nice epoxy floor as the...

    Portable Scaffold

I put an ad in the paper that I was looking for a used Bil-Jax. I got a great deal from a place that sells scafolding. He typically didn't rent them but a relative used a set for awhile and he couldn't sell it as new. I have not stacked it but it has come in very helpful for me and my friends...

    High Lift?

I recently changed my rails to run along the slope of my vaulted celing. I then installed a LM3800 that I bought from nova65ss. Great price and quick shipping! It took me about two hours to install everything. The instructions were very good. It's a sweet opener.

Slat wall ... anyone made their own?

I have thought about purchasing a slatwall router bit and making my own version of slatwall strips ( http://www.diamondlifegear.com/slatwallstrip.html ). I was thinking about making them out of oak. I think they would make a nice "stripe" around the garage and be real handy for hanging stuff.

    Jackshaft garage door openers

I recently bought a LM3800 from nova65ss. Great price and quick shipping. It took me about two hours to install everything( I'm sure that a second one would take much less time ). The instructions were very good.

    Storage lifts sure are nice

I'll be sure to get a lift that the trailer will fit on. I'll probably need to get or make some kind of cross brace for the trailer tongue to sit on. Leaks from the top of the lift worry me also but at least there is a minimum area they can come from with the boat.

    Liftmaster 3800 jackshaft opener

I just had the local overhead door installer convert my garage door hardware from the original 90 degree track, to run up along my vaulted ceiling in preparation of a future lift. He changed rails, the spring, pulleys, cables, jackshaft and brackets. He probably had close to 2 hours labor in...

    Storage lifts sure are nice

Has anyone ever used a storage lift for a boat? I would like to put my boat on a storage lift ( since it's not used much ) and keep my S2000 under the boat.

    Garage cabinets / storage

I have had good luck with the Seville cabinets that Sam's club sells. I have seen the large two door cabinets ( with wheels ) and the 4 drawer cabinet with wheels both have stainless steel fronts on them. I purchased two of the 4 drawer cabinets to use as a workbench base. Although they had to...
