    Vintage Snap On Case Question

Funnily enough I am also collecting 1958 Snap On tools. I’m completing a set my grandfather owned. I’ve been using this small Ferret set from the 1958 catalog to “build” my collection.

1958-1961 Snap On 3/8 drive pieces

I’m still hunting for 1958 12-point 3/8” drive sockets. I’d rather my money go to someone here than “Sockets” on eBay

Did I get a pretty good deal? Vintage 504 M Bench Vise

Sorry for the hi Jack but I have an almost identical runner (it’s a 2003). 224k miles and still chugging! Nice score on that vise!

Tracked down a couple things but still need some more. I will pay a premium for 1958 stamped tools listed above. Thanks.

    Craftsman Holy Grail?

I would guess that it’s not worth a fortune. I think most collectors would want correctly stamped tools but maybe I’m wrong. I know some error coins are worth big money.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

No name on this one. It was my “daily driver” before I had a garage. Bought it off a guy the same time he sold me his truck. I couldn’t pass up the handwritten signage!

1958-1961 Snap On 3/8 drive pieces

I’m looking to complete this set that belonged to my grandpa. I have found a few complete sets on the internet that I believe are the same ones I’m looking for. I am looking for the breaker bar and 4 of the 12 point sockets. I am looking for: 1/4 - F-081 5/16 - F-101 7/16 - F-141 1/2 - F-161...

    Wera Ratchet + misc tools

Wera Zyklop 3/8 SAE set - $100 + shipping I think I’ve used this less than 10 times. The T20, T25, and T40 have a bit more use since I borrowed them out of this kit. Also missing a Phillips bit. Willys Sparkplug wrench 41-W-3335-50 - $5 +shipping A little rusty but would clean up fine...

    Blackhawk Box Age and Value

I bought a comparable Craftsman box for $100 recently. Based on the market near me, I’d put it at $150.

    “For display only”

My most commonly used tool is an old Plomb pebble wrench that belonged to my great-grandfather. I try to use some inherited tools often, but others stay in the toolbox 99% of the time.

Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

Here is my small collection of Snap-On tools (minus the toolbox). These belonged to my late grandfather so they have a lot of sentimental value. Most of the tools are from ‘58-‘61. I would like to complete the socket sets so I will probably be scouring the marketplace soon.
