Multiple garage door openers on a single circuit/breaker

I also have three openers in my new shop. I have a dedicated circuit for the openers, but they all share the circuit. I have run all three at the same time with no problems.

    Cutting and threading pipe.

I bought the Harbor Freight pipe threader for my airline install. I found it much easier to start the die if I ground a chamfer on the pipe with my belt sander first.

    Need help with compressor

I bought a new 2 stage Quincy earlier this year, and I too run it in an unheated garage in Ohio. After the first 2 hours of use I drained the oil and refilled with Quin-Cip D synthetic. This is a diester synthetic compressor oil and runs about $24.00 a quart, and I had to order it through a...

    Advice on Bendpak 2 post

I have this same lift, purchased new March 2011. Correct, it does not come with truck adapters. I wouldn't be afraid of purchasing this, as long as it wasn't stored outside or in poor condition in any way. 3 years is not that old. But not for $2600.00. I can see this being a good buy at...

    100A subpanel Installation

I would think though that these "sales people" who are around the trade every day for years would at least have an understanding of basic application of their products.

    100A subpanel Installation

I have this SER installed underground for about 35 feet in 2" PVC conduit, on the advice of the local well respected supply house....so much for the "good" advice from the supply house vs. the big box store...will be replacing it in the spring with MHF.

Most expensive tool for one use

A leaf spring spreader for a Ford Model A. Around $100.00. Model A's use a single transverse leaf spring front and rear, and the rear is under tremendous preload in its installed state. People have been killed removing these without the proper tool.

    Compressor wiring questions

"Inferior product"? I've owned my QT54 for about a year and it supplies my blast cabinet just fine. Guys on here will say you need a $3000.00 compressor minimum to operate your small blast cabinet! LOL. The QT54 has a 30,000 hour pump life and a 100% duty cycle; that's years and years of use...

Drilling holes in 2 post columns?

This could cause a problem! You do not want any screws or bolts protruding into the inside of the columns where the slide blocks would strike them. On my new XPR 10A, I cut small squares of 1" flat stock, drilled and tapped a 1/4"-20 hole in the center, and welded the blocks onto the outside...

    H.F. sand blast cabinet.

Bought mine a year ago and it has worked very well. Per advice here, I sealed everything with clear silicone when I assembled it. You do not want leaks. I also purchased the dust collector from HF online. Keeps air flowing through the cabinet for good visiblility.

Benpak XPR-10 (wide vs narrow) question

Definitely set to the wide configuration if you can. I have a new XPR10A and have not had any issues with arm reach. My father in law's 1963 Chevy Impala with the X-frame takes careful positioning of the car and full extension of front and rear arms to reach the frame, but no problems lifting...

    another lift question

I am able to lift my Father in Law's 1963 Impala with my Bend Pak XPR10A set up in the wide configuration. The car must be perfectly centered under the lift and adjusted fore and aft, and the arms fully extended to reach the X-frame.
