It's not uncommon to have hundreds of dollars of small parts in one of these. And that is before adding the model car, plus time building it.

Funny you should say that, as he used to have a storefront where he sold this stuff. Years ago he closed it up and moved up North. He now sells thru eBay.
The models are 1:18 scale. Mostly muscle cars. Here is a photo with his SUV in the garage. He also builds 1:18 dioramas. I will have to dig up some photos of those.
