eBay collecting sales tax from certain states

I've seen first hand fairly rampant abuse of the food stamp system in my area. The main problem is there are no limitations on what can be purchased besides the dollar amount you're given monthly. You say basic necessities but soda, energy drinks, chips and high end cuts of meat are not...

eBay collecting sales tax from certain states

His point was that we already provide low incone families with food stamps, so they can provide that food to their children and now on top of that we give them free food at school. Its not an OR situation, its an AND situation. Two programs providing a similar service, to a similar...

Milwaukee "Want an Automotive Prize Pack?"

Its just a question of whether you work for a union or not. They're not stating their stance on unions, not asking you to state yours. They just want to know how many people using their tools are unionised. I dont like Harley. I drive an import. Im heterosexual. No degree. Flat earthers are...

Which is louder, M12 Fuel Ratchet or Aircat 800 air ratchet?

I can hear my coworkers m12 ratchet from 2 bays over if its not loud in the shop, but the customers in the waiting room could hear my air ratchet. In all seriousness, if you talking about neighbors, the compressor running the air ratchet will be worlds louder than either tool.

    $15 Knipex Cobra clones

Most of the knockoffs have bigger heads, softer teeth, and/or crappier adjusters. I reach for my cobras hourly as a steering/suspension and alignment tech. Ive had channellock, irwins, etc. They all wear out quickly, the teeth on my knipex after cleaning the grease off still look new after much...

    HF Icon wrench set pricing

You were thinking about Wright Grips but want to wait to see the pricing on HF wrenches? If you have the money for Wrights, buy them and be done with it. They're quality, USA made, and wont be replaced in 2 years by HFs next upcoming "premium" no name line.

Reducing back drag in Gearwrench 120xp... Lubricate?

It was my understanding that antiseize of any type contained abasives, essentially speeding up wear on anything you turn daily. Edit: Old thread, missed the date reading through, although the information is still valid.

More things I do not need tempting me

I'd check the price, scrap here is 7 bucks a hundred, so even at 500lbs you're well under 50 bucks. If the motor runs, you have the time to clean it up, and you can see yourself using it, pick it up. I may be biased, as I love finding deals and I love a good belt grinder.

    Tekton sockets

My only gripe is they're only laser etched, no rollmark or stamped sizes. Ive had mine for 6 months and my 21 and 22 are getting really light. Aside from that Ive used them daily in the shop with no issues.

    5060A Coats tire machine

We have one of these at our shop, same issue, inside clamping force *****. They make extendable clamps for the table top that allow gripping up to a 24inch wheel from the outside. As a hold over, we used to stick rubber gloves between the clamps and wheels when clamping inside for slightly more...

    Nepros vs Snapon Ratchet Question

Its a family owned independent shop, we have 7 mechanics, and 6 tire techs. Cornwell and Matco walk the whole shop including finding every tire tech every week.SK/Gearwrench mostly just checks on the mechanics, but makes the whole shop rounds about monthly. Our Snapon Rep pulls up out back...

    Nepros vs Snapon Ratchet Question

I get and often practice your point here, my wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, punches and some sockets are USA, I shop local, support farmers in the area and shoot american made firearms. All that said, its a big world and it'd be foolish to limit yourself to only buy USA made when you can...

    tire puncture repair tools list

We don't even carry rope plugs at our shop, its all combos, pull plugs and patches. While I have seen several rope plugs fail, I have seen many many more in tires I've changed that were holding air for the life of the tire. That said, if I'm doing tire work nowadays, its commercial, and I have...
