As others have stated, Germany is embedded in the steel itself at the joint. That said, Made in Germany/Germany may not be what one thinks it is. Specifically, the rules only require that it's 20% German to qualify, or what they call significant transformation. Meaning, you can shove a foreign...

crimp connector size for THHN 12G

Another vote for the Leviton 5252 screw & clamp backwire model (see ishiboo's photo). They're rated for both solid and stranded wire, so you'll get a proper connection without any special tooling.

    Tools from the old world

FWIW, the Finish 79 (polished w/ yellow & black ergonomic grips) are actually made by Schmitz (they sell directly = least expensive way to get them). Oh, and their cutters are excellent IME. The Finish 72 versions are actually made by NWS IIRC.

    Wire strippers

It does IME. As the gray cartridge uses flat blades, it can also be used with flat wire such as lamp cord or speaker wire to good effect. Where it can run into a bit of trouble however, is with hard insulation. They don't always get enough of a bite and just scrape the insulation...

    Wire strippers

I'm not an electrician, but I use a Pressmaster Embla. No wire nests to mess with and no nicks.

    Need another meter

I'd suggest taking a look at a Uni-T UT139C (you can find it cheaper on eBay sellers in China). It will do what you want, has decent input protections, and won't break the bank. If you need to measure current past what it's rated for, use an external clamp.

Coming Soon, Craftsman USA Stickered Tool Boxes??

The manufacturing brought back to the US are forms that are highly automated. So don't expect human positions to return in any numbers. This could easily be part of it. If plant expansion/replacement was required at the previous facility, that could have been part of it too (i.e. reduced or...

    Oscilloscope recommendations

True, but you could get a Rigol DS1054Z, 2 more for spares, and still have some cash left over for the price of one Picoscope 4425.

    Piergiacomi is the ODM.

    Tools from the old world

Thanks. This should be useful IMHO. The one advantage Wiha has over PB Swiss is the large number of fastener types and sizes they offer (PB Swiss's profile range is rather limited).

    Tool Brand Disillusionment

It depends on the model. Some are actually decent, and have sufficient protections for working on mains. The UT139 series for example. The C variant can be hand for under $40 shipped (example). Others are really only suited to low voltage applications (poor input protections). You have to do...

    Tools from the old world

They definitely ODM (Knipex for sure). Of course Rennsteig is an independent subsidiary of Knipex since 1991, so that might have something to do with it. :spit:

    Storage boxes for screws

Would 16oz do? I ask, as there's listings on eBay for what you're looking for (like the uline jars) that come in under $3 per shipped. 16oz Clear Plastic Jars with Black Plastic Lids (6 pack) Larger are available, but will exceed your $3 per target (gets kinda ugly actually :().

You got a great deal. YOU **** level even as they're ~$800 - 1400 new for a 5 drawer unit. :shocking: And it'll be perfect for storing blow molded cases.
