HD has always had no issues price latching a legitimate website if you can show them at the register. If you do the price match function on their website they make you include the shipping cost. They won't beat the price of the tool only. Lesson learned, always price match at the register and...

I've been trying to find a sweet price on FB marketplace or Mecari for 9mo now and no one can get low enough. This amazon sale price is about $5 more than the best marketplate or Mercari price, and they're an authorized seller so the warranty is active. I'm pulling the trigger today on one.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll take a harder look at the 196 set that is non-magnetic. If/ when I buy the next house and have to redo all the doors I'll consider the jamber set otherwise no rush for it. I don't believe I'll o digital but the lighted option is pretty cool for those evening...

Do the magnets sit flush with the bottom of the level or are they recessed? I can't find them in-stock locally to answer my question :/ My older levels have magnets on a few and due to the recessed setting of the magnet, it makes it miserable to clean off well.

The nicer crimp sets gets pricey. To get into pex expansion is a little more cost. The greatest benefit of pex expansion (uponor) is the fact that it doesn't require you to use brute force to crimp. Put the ring on, expansion gun, expand, push in fitting, twist, hold for 30s and done.
