On the M12 batteries, the pack itself has no battery management electronics. Its just cells and connection wires/strips, The battery protection/management circuitry is in the OEM charger. Thats one of the reasons the OEM charger is kinda big. If the aftermarket charger does not have equivalent...

Aren't lawyers great ? they will happily take all your money with no guarantees. Whereas you cant find an engineer willing to help you for any sum it seems.
