I rebuilt a walker turner RD last year. a couple of head scratchers but nothing too difficult. I still need to replace the quill spring. Those have a tendency to break.
Appears that you inquired over at old woodworking machines
that would have been my suggestion
It looks to me that the bearing is a 370-10-1

fin of sand left on the parting line of the core initiates a crack in gray iron. With flake graphite in gray iron it's more prone to cracks. Whereas the spheroidal nodules of ductile iron negates cracks,
I disagree with those who assessed this as cold shut foundry defect. It may be but I don't see evidence of cold shut. Cold shut wouldn't normally appear directly down the center in such a defined area. more likely to be off center and discontinue at some spot.

Very nice house. I recently purchased a walker turner radial drill like that. completely tore down and undergoing refurbishment.
BTW, my best friend lives outside Langford SD.
Yost has been acquired by Eastwood Automotive.
It's not the same company that Fred & Pat Nelis operated in Holland, Michigan
I'm not saying the current company doesn't have parts. They may.
