On thin ****, use a thinner tungsten. Your Tungsten is heating up too much cause it's so thick.It's all about heat. You're getting too much heat in that part. He is controlled by filler metal, contact tip to work piece distance and travel speed. What's your voltage set at?
You're moving up too high. You should be doing a Z pattern. Go across and then up across and up. Don't move the wire out of the puddle either. Mine was 3/8 plate.

That workbench has a 220 line under it and the other side of the wall has a heater for the whole garage. I don't really read here about orginazational tips. Ive never seen any. I'm just crazy. Every time I get something new I reorganize the whole thing. Hell last night I reorganized it twice!
