    30'X40' Pole building Eastern PA!

Well, yes but nothing good that's for sure... I was building this on property owned by my girlfriend, I was going to finish this inside and turn it into a workshop so that I could start building our house on the corner of the property. In January she walked out and I haven't seen her since. We...

Need help with an airbrush compressor

Yeah that paint should definitely be thin enough to spray directly. Those little compressors only put out like 15 psi I think max so even if you bump up to 25 it should spray just about anything you put through it as long as the small air hose going to the gun can take the pressure. When using...

Need help with an airbrush compressor

Are you running it directly plugged into the outlet or an extension cord? What it sounds like is the motor doesn't quite have the power to overcome the air pressure in the line. Once you release the pressure the motor spins freely and up to speed so it can continue to pump. I had 2 or 3 of...

    30'X40' Pole building Eastern PA!

Nope, I hadn't seen that one. I think since i'm planning on putting a ceiling in mine I will at least stick to the foam on the bottom chords. I STILL haven't decided whether I want to go in between or over top. (well underneath) Main reason I'm doing a ceiling is because I have been known to...

Post your favorite picture of your own garage...

Just looked through and read the whole thread... This picture speaks to me, I think it has a lot to do with where I started working on things. Had just a 12' X 16' shed and this reminds me of those nights... Really cool picture that embodies the phrase, "a picture is worth a thousand words."

No I haven't yet, although I'm leaning towards the screws and washers on the bottom of the trusses. I just don't know about putting the metal liner on top of it then. That's the only thing that's got me thinking of reconsidering and going between the trusses. But that's a lot of cutting and...

    Foam Board wall insulation

I was considering this but I think i'd rather install it on the bottom of the trusses in one complete layer of foam. only thing that's going to **** is putting up the metal on top of this then. I'm still up in the air on it. I have a box of 3" screws and just ordered 200 fender washers. I guess...

    Foam Board wall insulation

I wanted to ask you guys how did you install the foam? I was looking at 3" drywall screws with maybe the largest fender washers I could find? Not sure if I can get a big enough washer though to spread the weight of the board. Being that they are 2" thick they should be a little more stable...

Picked up my foam board today! 46 sheets in all. Got a hell of a deal on it, just had to drive little more than an hour each way. Good thing I took the big trailer cause I filled it! 2" thick going on the ceiling then metal panels over top. Going to seal the edges and the seams with spray...

Well got my trailer load of 2"foam today. Drove a little over an hour there and more back being careful but it made it! Now I'm making a scaffold setup ago I can get them up! I can't wait until I'm not losing all my heat out the roof!

How many wires Required in Conduit

So are you saying that if someone were to run 2 separate circuits for outlets contained in the same conduit and boxes that they would only have to run 2 black wires, 1 white and 1 green as long as each black is connected to a separate phase?

    Mark's Monster Garage....3800 sq ft

Mark, I don't even know where to start after reading through this entire thread the past week. You have definitely provided a distraction from this blizzard we got up here though! This thread, and your journey, has provided me inspiration to keep going with my dream of having my own shop...

Woo hoo! The backhoe fits! Getting ready for the predicted snow fall here this weekend. Guess we'll test the roof snow load too if we get what they're calling for. Nice to have a place to put everything inside it of wind, snow and **** weather. Now we won't get ****.
