Anyone know of a supplier that has the 401K hammer in stock? I ordered one from Summit in the beginning of November and the estimated ship date keeps getting pushed out. I'm starting to think they are made of unobtainium.
Those are rafter ties. The upper ones are collar ties. The rafter ties prevent the roof (ridge) from sagging and pushing the walls out. To get rid of the rafter ties, you would need a ridge beam big enough to carry 50% of the roof load supported on both ends by a vertical support and footers...
Ridge beam=gable end is load bearing. Ridge board or trusses=Gable end not load bearing. The 2x10 (or whatever it is) that runs along the ridge is too small to be a proper ridge beam but I don't see rafter or collar ties either. It doesn't really match up. Without seeing the rest of the rafters...
Anyone have experience with the Asto 4330 air hammer. I found this searching Ebay for long barrel air hammers. Information is pretty scarce. On Astro's website it says it is "off shelf." I assume off shelf means discontinued but there seem to be plenty of new stock available around the web...
