hey guys, this seems to be the preimier garage tile thread! We were looking to do this to a garage that had epoxy laid prior. Can we lay the tile right on the epoxy or does it need to be removed first? Thanks!
haha thats what i was going for, more of an extension of the home than just the garage.
a contractor friend said that if i ran duct to the garage for heating/cooling it could actually be considered additional square footage now...not sure about those details or if i would do that but found it...
well if you can get a really good deal on the tile then i would recommend it, it is much more durable and resilient than the hardwood in our home, although putting it down wasn't fun lol.
yes i have! ive still got a little ways to go and I have not cleaned nor grouted yet. it will look much better after the cleaning....
first tip: Its more work than you think! lol
here a quick picture. what ya think?
is backer rod a potential solution for the control joints (not expansion joints) in my garage? I am about to lay 8x48 porcelain tile and was planning to just thinset the control joints.
any advice on this? thanks!
ok thanks for the feedback! any tips on making sure to have plenty of coverage? also, what would oyur advice be on the 'break lines' in the concrete? im planning on just filling them with the thinset... is that ok?
and yes i will update with photos =)
