    24x36 with gable O/H doors - layout?

I have a 24x24 garage right now but plan to add 24x12 onto the back and rebuild roof with scissor trusses. I am having trouble with the layout though. I need to park one vehicle in at all times (mid-size SUV) and then a work area and a storage area (including snowmobiles, lawn mower...

    Adding onto 24x24 gable end

I thought it would be easier to make it a bit narrower than to try and build it the same width and match up the walls and roof.

    Adding onto 24x24 gable end

I need to add on to my garage. My 24x24 is not big enough to hold all my power equipment and still be able to do minor repairs and work inside. I would like to add about 20' wide and 12' outward to the back gable end of my garage. I was thinking of doing it this size so I can go with the...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Pulled engine on my 81 CB900c and got it onto a stand. Disassembling it in the next week or two and rebuilding in the basement over the winter.

Worth buying Rotozip for basement reno?

Was going to order the HF rotozip tool but decided against it (I'm in Canada). I ended up just measuring, tracing boxes, and cutting with a keyhole saw and utility knife. Worked out and wasn't a huge burden. Figured I'd save a few bucks and in the end I didn't mind having to do it manually...

    Canadian Tire DEALS

I'm in Northwestern Ontario and we have 2 Canadian tire here, 1 sells firearms, 1 does not.

Worth buying Rotozip for basement reno?

I considered the rotozip because I could put a sheet up and cut it in place without having to measure and cut first. Sounds like I should just measure and cut instead. I have the Milwaukee M18 system so I may pick up a multi tool at some point. I like the flush cut feature.

Worth buying Rotozip for basement reno?

I have a regular drywall t square to use and I am just hanging it, not mudding/sanding (contracting out) but thanks for the suggestions!

Worth buying Rotozip for basement reno?

I just ordered my drywall today to finish up the basement renovation. I have approximately 40 outlets and 15 light switches that will need to be cutout. Is it worth getting a Rotozip for the job? I haven't used one before but I also haven't done more then a couple of sheets of drywall at a...

    230v MIG limitations

Ok sounds like 230 mig will be fine for me. My father has an AC DC stick if I ever needed to borrow it since my garage is already wired for it anyways.

    230v MIG limitations

Not that I foresee. Could a 230 mig handle something like welding a bracket on an automotive frame (if the frame is ground bare)?

    230v MIG limitations

I have a Lincoln ACDC 225 arc welder right now. I'm hoping to pick up a MIG soon as my main welding will be body work and lawn equipment/tractor repairs. If I sell the Lincoln will a 230v MIG (Millermatic 211 for example) handle everything I need? I may build a steel bench frame or other...

    Zoro Deals Thread

I'm keeping an eye out for the 30% sale again and will get the 211, 0.030 11 lb wire, consumables kit, protective cover, and 2 spool guns. After all said and done with the 30% off and if I can sell the spool guns for $200 each, should be about $350 with the cover, wire, and consumables. Can't...

    Lokking for welders opinions

Sorry to hijack but would this Eastwood mig be a suitable replacement for a Lincoln stick AC/dc 225? I picked one up to learn to start welding but I think I would be more suited to a mig. I have some body work to do and otherwise maybe i would build some shelf brackets, exhaust repairs, and...
