Preparing J- Head Bridgeport for Movers

Great advice. I would leave handels on. Bolt it to a sturdy pallet. I would go through the effort of finding a plactic bag to put over it and build a crate for the whole thing. 1 x 6 pine boards utility grade are cheap You can leave everything intact and safe from bumps.

    How to Value Used Tools

So I have decided to liquidate some of the tools that I have bought and no longer use in my current line of work. My intent is to upgrade some things that I need. So how does a person really set a "fair not us ****" price on used stuff? Ebay, CL, 50% of new? I know stuff is only worth...

Thanks for the help I completely missed it. I searching for the repair kit it seems like this was a popular thing to do. I guess in a pinch and you did not have a 1/4 drive socket the size you needed. I will order the RKRA70FMA kit and get this tested out. I am so PO at my self for...

    Moving a mid-size lathe

A rollback truck/operator can move that and get to dock height. Depending on the truck they may have to use blocks under the wheel lift to get it to the height of the dock. I like to go above the dock edge and slide the bed back so that the bed is resting on top of the dock and use thin...

    Trusty-Cook, Dead Blow Extender

Great idea, they would be great for knocking pistons in/out of engines. Much better than using the handle of another dead blow hammer. Count me in.

Snap on cordless impact battery adapter?

Yes mine is an older 12 volt, I probably bought it in the late early 90's and has served me well. It was rediscovered last year after not being used for probably 15 years or so when I moved out of my shop to home. Surprisingly one of the batteries still took a charge. I was quoted $40.00 to...
