I hate having a million modes to go thru and the strobes too. I love the Petzl Tikkina below. Has Low, Medium and High. Super simple and not too expensive and I run rechargeable batteries in it. Takes 3 triple A's. I have bought 4 of them at this point...

I did not really feel like fussing with putting all the individual cells together so I went with this upgrade. Can't say anything about longevity since I only have had it for a few months. But, it does seem to last longer than the normal NiCds...

Thanks for the polisher deal! I have been deciding on a polisher for a few months now and had settled on a Griots 6 inch on my wish list. For this price though, I decided to go with the Porter Cable. From all the reviews it looks like I won't be disappointed.
