I left my battery on the adapter on my workbench and it was dead within a week.
I had a brain drain typo above, but I was surprised to see this. :bounce:
It's not the end of the world to remove the adapter from the battery, but I find it odd. And especially since I really don't use my old...
My parents got me the 5-piece (Ni-cad) suitcase in 2003 when I was still in college. It seemed like a weird gift for a guy living in a university apartment, but I think my dad found a good deal on it and couldn't resist. :)
Now I've got the 20V Li-on stuff. Drill & impact and a bunch of yard...
I used my old NiCad Dewalt drill for screwing for over a decade. Finally upgraded to the Driver/Drill Li-Ion 4 or 5 years ago.
Once you have and get used to an impact driver, it's hard to go back to a drill for screws. I works so well it's scary.
I always thought "Pro's" had bunks of lumber delivered to the job site, and returned the garbage wood on the next truck?
Probably not from HD either, but that's beside the point :lol_hitti
I've done okay at HD. Never bought much lumber at Lowe's or Menards.
Though for a medium project at home, I went to the local lumberyard and was really pleased with the quality. The price was higher, but HD didn't have the sizes I was looking for.
My HD stopped carrying green PT wood a few...
I have a similar situation and my vision has always been a fixed platform above the garage door. And then either a hoist or just one of those little electric platforms you can buy to get stuff up there.
Really a hoist on a beam trolley would be pretty nice.
I've gotten a fair amount of tools from estate sales and garage sales.
They might be dirty and/or greasy and not look as fun and shiny as the new ones at the store. But odds are they are a higher quality tool at a fraction of the cost.
This goes for lawn tools also. Not nearly as much...
I've always dreamed of a 2 or 4 post lift in my garage. But this is an interesting alternative.
I'm skeptical that this same lift could work for a crew cab pickup and a corvette, but it's still really cool.
