Adding a rudder to my kayak

I could have added a skeg, but it would have required punching an access panel in the top of the rear deck so I could fiberglass all the way around it. Currently my hatches to the bow/stern of the boat are through port holes in the bulkheads. I could still remove the rudder and go the skeg route...

Any Nitrile gloves that don't ****?

Ah. Good catch. I think I got the Latex because of the harsher chemicals the paint was dealing with.

Any Nitrile gloves that don't ****?

I don't remember where I heard about these, but they don't rip on anything. They're also not cheap. I only use them when I'm working with paint or heavy duty work. The rest of the time I use cheaper ones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JFN9UE?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Yard sprayer recommendations

I got the Scott's lithium battery powered one. It was pricy but it's worked well for a few years now. Oh. Wow.... Amazon shows I bought it in 2020.

Building a router table, need advise please.

I do have 2 palm routers to go with the one larger router. And now that I think about it, I don't think I've removed the larger router since getting the palm routers.

Building a router table, need advise please.

I have an old craftsman one that I adapted to use a Bosch router under. I think the biggest thing with router tables is which lifter plate you use as other's mentioned. My biggest issue is only having the one router for both the table and for use by hand. Taking the router in/out of the table...

the utter savagery of using crappy tools

I learned really fast to take my own tools when working at the MIL's house. All her tools are ****.

Building a better Oil Pressure and Temperature Gauge

I recently made a project with one of these and really liked it. It's the screen and micro controller all in one. The bezel can be rotated as an input or you can touch the screen. I've considered getting one for the car and doing something with it...

Do you provide food/drinks to a work crew?

I had a concrete crew a few years ago doing work during the summer. I put a dorm fridge under the carport and kept it filled with bottled water for them. They were appreciative.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

If it were me, I'd leave the existing roof and I'd be really tempted to put a loft back in after complete. If not a full loft, at least a partial/half one. The one thing I can never seem to have enough of in my shop is storage. I have quite a bit of stuff where I only need it a few times a year...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

It was just too hot and I didn't want to wait for the AC to cool things down. Plus I was tired/lazy from work. I'm going to try again tonight. But I'm going to go out a bit earlier and at least bump the AC down to cool off the shop a bit. It's supposed to get to 102F outside today. I normally...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Tried to do some cleaning. I didn't make it far.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Nothing. "feels like" temp of 106f is hot even if the ac in the shop is on. I was hoping to take the kayak out too, but dang.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

swapped the igniter out on the gas grill. The one on it started getting harder and harder to get it to 'go'. $18 later, no more issues.

Exhaust fan good idea or no

I've been considering adding an exhaust fan too. My thinking is the AC in the shop is only set to 95 when I'm not out there. There's a lot of days were a semi-cool front will come in and lower the outside temp into the mid 80's but the shop is still in the low 90's. It'd be nice to have the...
