    Cutting polyiso insulation.

I do the same as Sherk and earlybirds. I sharpen the curved side of a 6” putty knife and it goes through foam easily with little mess. It works well because unlike a knife, its thickness is uniform throughout, so it doesn’t bind up.

Why is 66 amps not enough to keep less than 60 amps of equipment running?

I agree. And remember, as voltage output from the generator drops, the current draw will naturally rise to compensate. As various others have said, you really should buy or borrow a digital multimeter with an amp clamp. Otherwise, we’re all just speculating.

Protecting electronics when on generator power

Electronics can certainly be affected by dirty power, whether it's coming from the utility, a generator or another power source. There are different types of power problems, but the most common I've seen in my line of work, where I'm dealing with 3-phase generators, is frequency fluctuations due...

    Pressure washer Surging

I had the same issue with my Campbell-Hausfeld pressure washer with a Briggs engine. It only ran correctly when I tilted the pressure washer back on its wheels while in use. That was about 5-6 years ago. Just a month ago, I finally pulled the carb off and cleaned it and the tank out thoroughly...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

So after about 18 hours of soaking in Evapo-Rust, things are looking much better. The file/rasp is coming out best, but unfortunately my 23" long Snap-On breaker bar's swivel head won't budge. Does anyone think a Snap-On guy will warranty it? Or send it direct to Snappy? The sockets and...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I've got some tools that need de-rusting, so I picked up some Evapo-Rust from Harbor Freight. What you see there is a Snap On breaker bar with a Craftsman socket and short extension. They unfortunately were in my trunk after spilling some battery acid in there. I feel really bad about that...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

@ Bogey won Check out this link here. It's a link to Eaton's line of pushbuttons. Almost anything you can imagine. These are used by machine builders and go into all types of products. Typical hole sizes are 22mm and 30.5mm. Page 94 has a nice one in 22mm...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Stared at the mess in my garage. I did go through every item and call out what needs to happen to each item (organize, hang, dispose, sell, etc...). I'll have to start a thread about my single car garage and how I have WAY too many things for such a small space. Helder
