    A pair of Auriou rasps arrived today. Made in France, hand stitched: cabinet rasp grain 11, and a Modellers rasp grain 13. Walnut handles. Beautiful smooth cuts on Jarrah. Much different beasties than my Vallorbes.

    Edward Preston 1390 spokeshave Arrived this morning - model 1390 (I think) Edward Preston spoke shave. Quite reasonable condition for its presumptive age. Japanning has seen better days, but the steel faces are quite good.

    Also arrived yesterday, 3 Sorby 'Kangaroo' gouges, boxwood handles. Generally nice condition, the surface finish grinding leaves something to be desired - it looks original due the uniformity. Boxwood handle are nice (always), but Record Boxwood is nicer colour usually.
