    Rust coating inside Quincy compressors?

Got a Quincy 1972 60 gal tank and a 325 compressor that was rebuilt in 2014. The tank is bare but there is an antirust coating on the oil reservoir of the pump. Not sure if Quincy ever coated their tanks since they recommend draining after each use.

    Recommend some drill bits

I have this set in my go box and its held up very well. If you dont have a sharpening rig, Drill Doctor is relatively cheap and produces decent results. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LDH1LC/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    2014 Garage sale thread!

The motor is a 50's vintage. The grinder is , I believe a late 30's one. I have the same motors and that C-man badge on the grinder matches the one on my wood lathe which is from 1938.

I am in love with that galvanized box!!!! I have seen several like that over the years but none that were completely unrusted. 30+ years in barns have that effect. Now that you've given us a taste, you gotta go in depth with the pics!!

    Tank Ownership Documents

In Michigan proof of ownership is not needed. I've won tanks at auctions or sale that were in the paper and never had any trouble getting them filled. My brother in Law lives in Ohio and there you will need actual title to a tank just like an automobile so it would be wise to check with your...

    Parker Vise Jaw Pins

Yes they are supposed to be tapered, yup, drive em out the bottom and nope no idea what the taper is supposed to be. I simply put a roll pin against a grinding wheel until I got a good fit since mine weren't original.

My Sears has a ton of USA made tools

Not for sure, but aren't Canadian RP's sourced from PRC? I've had a Canadian Cman socket stamped Tiawan that migrated south for years. Never knew till I read it here that that was where it came from. I believe much of their other stuff is from out that way too.
