Help Identify a couple of old pliers, please

Good afternoon, folk. I have three old pliers, q large and small side cutter and a set of needlensoe that I have had almost 40 years. I know they are older than that because they were handed down from someone who has been deceased even longer than that. They are good, solid tools, and I have cut...

Question about disassembling Craftsman ratchet with oiler

Hi, I just bought a 1/2" drive Craftsman teardrop style ratchet, V series, model #44975. It has a little oiler bearing at the top(says "oil" right above it. I would like to disassemble this ratchet and clean it/grease it. Is there a spring on that oiler bearing I need to watch out for? Thanks.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Thanks. I am learning how to work on my vehicle, out of necessity. But I'd rather work wood.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

I acquired this box about 15 years ago at a local flea market. It sits under my workbench and holds guitar building tools and other wood working hand tools. It still works flawlessly, and I would be lost without it. 7-69 date stamp.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Question/help maybe? The 90s Homeowner box has the drawer slides missing on the bottom drawer. I thought about just putting a couple of strips of wood in the bottom of the box the same height as the frame, so the drawer will sit in there level. But I would really like to fix it. I know that the...

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

I also have this, which I think is older. It's one of the red and gray boxes. I would pull it out for better pictures, but it sits under my bench and is full of wood working and guitar building tools.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

It says Craftsman Home Tools on it. Thanks for the possible ID. Who ever owned it was a hard working mechanic who gave the box no quarter. It held up well.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

I don't know how "vintage" it is; I suspct it's from the 70s. But I just picked this up last week, and can't wait to fill it full of tools.

    Raised Panel Wrenches?

Keep in mind that comfort is in the hands of the holder, but, I grew up using Craftsman RP wrenches, and most of the cheap junk tools you found were that design, because it was popular, I presume. I've tried a few of the newer, slimmer type wrenches. All they do is dig into my hands when I use...

    Hello!

Hi there! New to the forum. Getting back into working on my own vehicles after about thirty years. I never was much of a mechanic, but when I was younger(and the cars were, too), I could do most basic replacement of bad parts, etc. When the engine bays got smaller and the wiring harnesses began...
