I see the overall dimensions of the drawer (18x12x3 for the large) but I haven't found the dimensions of the compartments inside.
From the overall I can get a general idea of the compartment size (18/4 = 4.5" minus some material) but because I'm a bit OCD was looking for exact measurements...
I'm gonna slowly begin to acquire the metal Durham boxes for nuts, bolts, electrical connectors, etc and get rid of the cheap plastic containers that I have. The problem is I can't find any dimensions of the interior compartments and I don't have a store close to me that carries them. I'm...
Someday....
Right now I just have a 3 car garage, and besides all the miscellaneous junk that a garage collects I have a 44" Kobalt and my old (now my son's) 26" Craftsman.
I am shopping for a bigger box tho, which will require a rethink of how my limited space is laid out. Someday I'll...
It never made sense to me why Lowe's went all in on Craftsman when they already had Kobalt.
I have some Kobalt hand tools and thought they were pretty good. I don't trust the "new" Craftsman as much.
Their entire tool strategy has felt... confused. I guess maybe their finally clarifying it.
My only experience with Bauer is the 4 1/2" angle grinder, which I've used the snot out of. For just $40 I bought a second one, just cause I'm lazy and don't want to be swapping between cutoff wheel and flap disc.
I also like the Bremen clamps - I have probably a half-dozen for welding...
When I bought my welder it came with a cheap HF cart that I never liked. Don't remember where I saw the idea, but I picked up a cheap 3 drawer metal file cabinet for $25 (it's pretty heavy duty!) and using some tubing I had laying around, we built a better cart. It has a plate on the back for...
It was finally warm enough to spend a little time in the garage after the freeze we had this week. Just did some organization, making sure all the parts from the Miata engine rebuild were together and labeled. Will finish stripping everything off the block and removing the crank tomorrow...
It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here's an update for the past couple months. Got some extra cash for birthday/anniversary so I splurged on these Milwaukee ratchets. I sure love them! They work so much better than air.
Gradually over time a few sockets have grown legs and...
Swung by again this afternoon right before close. Lot's of cheap inventory was gone but I did get another Pittsburgh 3/4" pipe clamp, Storehouse cotter pin assortment (could have used some extras last month, and a Pittsburgh contour gauge.
I did find the Bremen clamps, so that makes me...
For not caring about Harbor Freight "junk", there's sure a lot of banter about it.
;-)
I had a rain check for the 20 bin storage boxes that were on sale last week, so I just got back from there. Bought a couple more bar clamps and some 1/4 to 3/8 air hose adapters and got 30% off. Might run...
Does it matter if the filter/regulator is by the compressor or by the reel? It's less than 25ft.
My compressor is under my workbench, and my plan is to mount the fil/reg right by the workbench, then on the outlet side have a T, one route to the reel and the other to an connector right at the...
Thanks for the quick replies.
One other question: I'm shopping for a new regulator/filter. Will a 3/8"npt work, or can I go as small as 1/4" inlet/outlet?
Here's my situation: my wife bought a 75ft hose reel (3/8" ID with 1/4" npt connections) for Christmas. I'm finally getting around to installing the lines to feed it from the compressor. Total run of hard line is about 25ft.
I initially planned on running 1/2" hard line to the hose reel...
