Just curious why you didn't tape and mud the joints on the ceiling. Would have given a much nicer finished look.

Looks like you are not lacking in ambition. Got you work cut out for you but you can rebuild any way you want. That's the great thing about doing it yourself.

I have to say one thing about all this mess. I gives you lots of uninterrupted time to do projects. It looks like you are making the most of it. Kids will enjot that for a long time.

I'm in the "more insulation" camp. Not sure what your energy costs are but think about it this way. Right now you have a fixed cost of what insulation will be. Over the years your energy costs will increase. It won't take long for you to recover the insulation cost in reduced energy bills.

Man, you aren't letting the grass grow under your feet. Making great progress. You know when the shop is finished it will be too small!! LOL

That's a lot of work but well worth it. This way you get what you want.
