That’s a great way to go about it. Marine people will put on replacement belts and simple parts when new so they know they fit and have original parts as spares. Better than finding out in the middle of the ocean that the spare don’t fit.

Seems like you will need a align bore and new main bearings.

That’s a good approach, be very careful and take your time and do a lot of research. I have been there with that job.

I’m not sure about extended warranty on the frame in the US but here in Canada there is good warranty on the frames. Check with your dealership , it couldn’t hurt.
