    That is one tough looking compressor, I see it was made in Barrie Ontario just north of Toronto. With proper maintenance it should last a lifetime.

    That’s a great way to go about it. Marine people will put on replacement belts and simple parts when new so they know they fit and have original parts as spares. Better than finding out in the middle of the ocean that the spare don’t fit.

    You didn’t say what motor you had, very few A7’s had the 2.0 litre 4cyl which is easy to work on ( chain on the front) but if it is the V6 I feel your pain.     I’m not sure about extended warranty on the frame in the US but here in Canada there is good warranty on the frames. Check with your dealership , it couldn’t hurt.
