    Norb's BMW/Audi Double Garage

You know, that's probably the only gripe I have about the floor. Just recently I was doing valve cover gaskets on the E38 and as I was pulling the assembly off, a bunch of the nuts and washers went flying. All were found except for 1 washer. Working in the aerospace industry I am meticulous...

    Norb's BMW/Audi Double Garage

Hey, remember me? It's been 7 years since I updated this thread, and 12 since we moved in. Life is busier now with 2 young kids and more cars, but the garage is still very functional (more than ever, really) and I'm in the middle of rebuilding the hydraulic cylinders on the MAXJAX lift since...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Bald is Beautiful - 7k sq feet+ of Gruntledness

Outstanding thread. Subscribed, keep up the great work. Really love all the work to all the E28s - especially excited to see the S54 Ultimate Daily.

Finally got my Epoxy floor in!

It definitely has texture, which is fine considering I wash the cars during the winter time, so the floor will need some anti slip characteristics. Still smooth enough that water just rolls right across it towards the drain. A perfectly smooth, monotone floor was high on my list but it would...

Thanks! Slowly but surely it's almost done. Got a couple hours worth of painting done last night in the garage. The lower concrete foundation and trim was the last bit of exposed stone left, so it got a coat of Masonry paint that I bought 3 years ago. Came back to life once I power mixed it.

You mean kinda like this? That Cobra isn't mine, just an example of the vinyl wrap.

Finally got my Epoxy floor in!

I had not really done any cleaning or improvements to the garage itself in over 2 years, so I finally made time to perform some work that I'd been wanting since we had moved in. The concrete floor was physically in good shape with only very minimal pitting but the constant work on other cars had...

    Norb's BMW/Audi Double Garage

Been a bit over a year since the last update. I spent all winter refreshing the drivetrain in my C5 and all summer working on other cars. Picked up a low mileage L92 and will be converting to an LS3 to plop in the Vette. The lift came in very handy in unpacking it! I had not really done any...

    Norb's BMW/Audi Double Garage

I tried vinyl wrapping one of the C6 wheels in high gloss black. It didn't work out very well due to my inexperience, but I'm not giving up. Gonna give it another whirl, maybe over the winter, using a heat gun instead of a hair dryer, and 3M's Primer 94. The silver is nice but a little boring. I...

    Norb's BMW/Audi Double Garage

Quick update Took a ride out to Rochester to pick up two 16" Firebird ABS wheels. I really don't plan on taking this car to the drag strip - but I guess if I ever get serious I can stick a drag radial on them. 1003162108 by Norbert Ogiba, on Flickr They fit without any modification -...

    Norb's BMW/Audi Double Garage

I guess I can scrape something together. Not really been doing much Been driving it around a bunch. The front ride height is a bit "high" for my taste due to the thick piece of rubber I put between the spring and the control arm to prevent contact. I can probably replace it with something...

Cheap centric rotors, nothing expensive as the track pads are going to tear them up anyways. I bought these: http://www.powerstop.com/product/track-day-brake-pads/ No reviews yet, still need to buy the rotors, flush the fluid with Motul RBF600, and install the pads.
