I have one of the green Amazon levels somebody posted up in the hot deals a while back.
Works well enough for me...which mostly has been setting my wife's photo collage walls with multi room common reference points.
Do y'all expect new channel locks to be a little "stickey" and require a break-in? I got a pair of 426's (the 6" guys) today and the max open is kind of fiddley and gets stuck. Trying to decide if I should take them back and exchange them.
Lol yeah I'm just bad at math. I was figuring each was 75 lb and somehow 75*2=300.
If we don't play by price is right rules, maybe I'm still close and you're on the baggage handler **** list hall of fame.
0.1" is a good travel range for stuff like runout and parallel? I think that makes sense. I imagine a rule would be sufficient to show things are messed up for more than that.
If you had to get 1 mount would you lean towards the flex ones like 278horn and signcrafter linked or the rigid bars...
I need to pick up a dial indicator, but there's enough options that I don't have a good feel for what's practical. I'm a DIY'er, so I probably don't need 0.0001" accuracy and have no idea on range.
Initial use case is brake disk run out. Next up is table saw setup, the rest of it's life is...
Puttered.
Put Christmas stuff away.
Cleaned up a bit.
Pulled the driver's side wheels off the Mazda to measure the dimensions of the brake rotors. Apparently, the right replacement rotors depend on if it's a Tuesday car from Mexico or a Thursday car from Japan. The aftermarket has enough info...
The right answer depends on your bike and how far out of they way you're going.
Smart money says pay attention to the stuff you need to do maintenance and that'll help you pick out the right sizes to bring for your bike.
Dumb money says all you need to carry is a credit card.
I carry some...
Yeah it was popped, but I need check that hole goes all the way through too. I think it was just the flow rate out of a ~3/4" diameter hole was higher than the flow rate out of the 2 1/2" diameter holes from the drain pan to the tank. It'll take longer to clean the oil off the drill bit than to...
I just picked up one of these. I like it but discovered the rate of flow out of the "pan" on top is slower than my mustang will dump 10 qts.
I'ma need to get in there with a drill and open that up a bit.
Oil changes. 1st time I've done it on either car. The Mazda was easy...except the last ape to tighten the drain plug really wanted to crush that washer.
I learned a valuable lesson on the Mustang...make sure the fancy oil pan/jug can drain out of the "pan" into the "jug" faster than your car...
